Surveillance

In simple words, Surveillance is monitoring of behavior, activities, or other changing information for the purpose of influencing, managing, directing, or protecting people. This can include observation from a distance by means of electronic equipment such as CCTV or interception of electronically transmitted information. It can also include simple no- or relatively low-technology methods such as human intelligence agents and postal interception. Surveillance cameras are video cameras used for the purpose of observing an area. They are often connected to a recording device or IP network, and may be watched by a security guard or law enforcement officer.

Surveillance is used by governments for intelligence gathering, prevention of crime, the protection of a process, person, group or object, or the investigation of crime. It is also used by criminal organisations to plan and commit crimes, such as robbery and kidnapping, by businesses to gather intelligence, and private investigators.

Surveillance cameras has so much power that the entire crime seen can be captured in it and the criminals can be caught in no time. It is very important for places like supermarkets and malls to have surveillance cameras because many stealing can occur mainly in these type of places. But have surveillance cameras outside the house covering the footage of the front and the backyard of the houses can be necessary at times to in order for the house owners to be alert of robbers or dog thieves like shown in the video above.

So as we can see surveillance camera played a vital role in the above video. The entire murder has been caught in the camera which makes it easier for the police to catch the criminals and give them the punishment they deserve. Surveillance cameras thoroughly act as the form of protection and main reason why people use them is to protect themselves from any crime or even if the crime is already committed, they will at least be able to get justice with the help of proof present in the surveillance cameras. 

ASSIGNMENT 4 ADVERTISING ANALYSIS

PUMA

PUMA is a European multinational company that designs and manufactures athletic and casual footwear, apparel and accessories. Its headquarter is located in Herzogenaurach, Bavaria. PUMA is the third largest sportswear manufacturer in the world. The company was founded in 1948 by Rudolf Dassler. PUMA has been a public company since 1986, listed at the Frankfurt Stock Exchange. As of 2016, PUMA employs more than 10,000 people worldwide and distributes its products in more than 120 countries.

PUMA offers products for Football, Running, Training and Fitness, Golf, Motorsports and Lifestyle. PUMA also sponsors a lot of famous athletes. In terms of football clubs, PUMA sponsors Arsenal and Borussia Dortmund. In order to support its women's business, PUMA endorses fashion icons Rihanna, Kylie Jenner, The Weeknd and most recently Selena Gomez. As we can see, the involvement of many famous athletes, football clubs, and celebrities, it makes the advertisements of PUMA even better and eye catchy in front of the customers.

Google Home Mini

The Google Home Mini is a stylish-looking speaker with strong sound quality. It was released in August 2017. Its main features are wireless, portable, and smart speaker. The Google Home Mini is a great device, and a no-brainer for existing Google Home users. The Google assistant is a capable Alexa competitor, especially thanks to its ability to search out detailed answers to a wide variety of questions. 

I myself am a Google Home Mini user. I got it as a Christmas gift recently and so far I love it. It is definitely similar to other products such as Alexa, Amazon Echo Spot, Amazon Echo (2nd Generation) and many more. But one major factor that stands out in Google Home Mini among all these devices is that it answers follow up questions which is not available in other devices. But as far as its cons is concerned, I was able to encounter only one which was it doesn't play the songs we want to hear without having to subscribe to google music. 

How much you like your Google Home Mini depends on how you plan to use it. I use my device for home automation and to answer questions and most importantly, play music. Even though I only own the Google Home Mini and not Alexa, I do know the perks and cons of having both. I have used Alexa in one of my friend's place and I found it to be less impressive than the Google Mini Home. I actually found Google Home Mini better because of several reasons such as it picks up voice better than other devices,  its sound quality is better and strong, it answers follow up questions, and I even like how it looks better than other devices.

Therefore, I personally think Google Home Mini is a really cool and a very useful device. I would suggest people to buy it as it is reliable, smart, and a better choice than any other device. We can get so much out of it and it doesn't even costs much. However, nothing is perfect in this world so I would rate it 4/5.
